REPORTS TO: Front Office Manager 

PURPOSE OF POSITION: In accordance with Company Policies and Procedures, registers authorized visitors into the campground; assigns transient campers and checks them into the campground; collects payments from annual lease holders and storage camper owners; and services any guests that come into the front office. 

CLASSIFICATION: Hourly Non-Exempt Pay Grade 5 

DEPARTMENT: Front Office 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Registers, collects and posts charges owed and issues car passes to authorized visitors into campground.
  • Checks transient campers into the campground register them, collect and post charges owed, and issue car passes.
  • Collects and enters payments from annual lease holders. Enters charges for additional annual lease stickers and golf car violations into annual lease records, collects and enters payments.
  • Collects and enters payments from storage camper owners and enters them into correct record.
  • Answers and completes any telephone calls that cannot be handled by the Guest Service Representatives.
  • Makes, modifies and cancels reservations for campers at the front counter or over the reservation lines when assigned to reservations. Collects and enters appropriate deposit for reservations. Refunds or transfers appropriate deposits for cancelled reservations.
  • Accepts campers into storage by creating a storage record in the ParkMan system. Collects and enters storage fees into correct record. Completes storage paperwork ensuring that the owner signs the Storage Agreement.
  • Filing for annual lease sites and reservations (confirmations/modifications/cancellation notices) as necessary and accurately.
  • Handles complaints, if possible, and reports problems to Front Office Supervisor or Office Manager if unable to handle.
  • Operate base radio as required.
  • Stuff Registration bags as needed.
  • Answers any questions that a guest may have regarding the campground or local area.
  • Provide outstanding guest service at every opportunity.
  • Promote a positive relationship with team members in all departments and divisions.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Actively demonstrate, encourage, train and model safety rules and guidelines, in accordance with Company, along with local, state and federal law requirements.
  • Investigate loss producing incidents and review prevention recommendations with all employees.
  • Actively participate in the safety meetings, if requested by Management, providing and documenting safety training, if applicable, and offering improvement suggestions. Ensure that all safety equipment is used at all times, i.e. safety harness, eye protection, hard hats, gloves, etc.
  • Report safety or hazard concerns to management.
  • Report any work related injury to management.
  • Take personal responsibility for safety every day. 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

  • Proficient in computer use.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs. Must be able to do pushing, pulling and bending.
  • Must be accurate and detail oriented.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have the ability to work on site for all scheduled hours.
  • Understanding of internal controls.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Ability to interact well with others in a team environment. 

SCHEDULE:

  • Ocean Lakes Family Campground operates 7 days each week. Employees must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and/or holidays as well as overtime hours as necessary.
